| Now that there are sooo many log-ons and passwords you have to remember. Honestly, too many of them to remember. For the past month, I've been trying every password I can think of to get back on the blog. and finally the older tinker has worked and I remembered my password. So here's an update of my life. Weddings: First, Julie's and Cindy's bachelorette parties. Then the weddings: Chesi's then Julie's then Si's and finally Cindy's . Then just few days ago Mateo's wedding. All of them...beautiful bride and groom. I'm glad to be part of and witness such a wonderful occasion. With Chesi and Vince

| So last week, we went to MacWorld since it was free through one of the bargain websites. It was boring since I wasn't really into the tech stuff. Whole new lingo from pharmacy conventions. But it was worth driving around 45min to find parking, and waiting to get a pass to get into the convention to see the new iphone. I would love to have one...but I don't think it's worth the ~$500 and to switch to Singular.

This weekend, Kristen surprised my parents and came home from Penn State to visit for few days. It was a hugh surprise because she didn't come home for Christmas and New Year's since the flights were expensive and plus she had to work. My parents were not so jolly over the holidays because everything we did reminded them of Kristen. They always would remark, "Aww, it would have been nice if Kristen was home or with us." They said the circle didn't seem complete without her. Really though, it's only been like 4 months (since August) that she's been in the east coast. But for my parents, I guess it seemed like forever.
Since my sister came home, both my brother and I also drove down to Gilroy. So the five us were all home for the first time since August. I've never seen my parents so happy. We stayed up talking most of the night and woke up really early. My parents wanted to spend as time time together as possible even though she's coming back in like 4 months. My parents tried to explain the attachment for their children. They were trying to explain to that it's different having us live close by and not seeing us and having us live so far away and seeing us. I guess that's the kind of relationship/attachment you have with your children? And something I won't understand at this point. But for some of my friends, they will soon find out. Since graduating from pharmacy school, a bunch of friends seem to be on the express lane. Life seems to pass so slow in school but now that we are out of school, people are getting engaged, married, and kids!! Yup, today we got together for Jen's baby shower. She's such a beautiful mommy-to-be glowing with excitement and happines s. It was fun to see everyone and to play baby games. One of the games was to try and guess the Gerber baby food flavors. I sucked...out of 9, I only guessed 2 right. Cindy though guessed 6 out of 9. It was interesting tasting baby foods. Now I know why babies make that face sometimes when they eat. The other game we played was to guess the waist size of Nifo (Jen's husband). Why not Jen? So in all the reading Jen did, she found that your husband also goes through what the wife goes through. She gains weight, the husband also gains weight...etc. And after Jen opened presents and hung out. The baby is due early February. So can't wait to see Jen and Nifo's little baby boy. We took a picture with a few of us right before we're to all depart. And Nifo helping Jen put her shoes on... | | |
| It has already been 3 months since I started my residency program. 1/4 of the program already done. Just seems like yesterday that I was sitting in those long hours of orientation, and dreading the small paychecks. I came to accept the true harsh reality and have made the best out of it. I remind myself, "at least I'm not free labor" and "it's a long term investment." Long hours and hard work...but it's bearable because of the people I've met through the program and the people who has always been there for me. My co-residents, preceptors, and other admin people have been awesome to work with and it's so nice having friends close by to hang out with and take my mind off of residency.
